The Absence
by: Bjarte - Sunday 05 September 2010 - 10:05:05
Press release from MetalBlade Records:

Be sure to head over to MetalUnderground.com, a metal site that provides fans with comprehensive metal news coverage, reviews, interviews, band info, live concert reports, photos, and is updated daily by a dedicated staff of die-hard metalheads, to check out the single Maelstrom. If you like what you hear head over to the band’s landing page and pre-order the album while there is still time to take advantage of the discounted prices. Enemy Unbound is available by itself or bundled with a t-shirt.

Track-listing for Enemy Unbound:
1. Vertigo
2. Erased
3. Deepest Wound
4. Maelstrom
5. Enemy Unbound
6. Solace
7. The Bridge
8. Wartorn
9. Hidden in White
10. Vengeance and Victory
11. Triumph

THE ABSENCE recently completed shooting a music video for the title track Enemy Unbound with director Luke Leonard, which will also be premiering on MetalUnderground.com. Details on when the video will drop will be released shortly so stay tuned to MetalBlade.com for further information.

About the band: Tampa, FL area natives THE ABSENCE laid waste to an unsuspecting metal community with their debut Metal Blade Records album, From Your Grave, and after nearly two years of touring the guys returned in 2007 with their fan and critic acclaimed release Riders of the Plague. Riders of the Plague was recorded at Erik Rutan's Mana Studios in February / March 2007 with Swedish producer Jonas Kjellgren (Scar Symmetry, Carnal Forge). THE ABSENCE has returned to the metal scene heavier than ever with their third full-length album, Enemy Unbound; a metal masterpiece full of the band's brand of high flying guitar histrionics and melodies fans and critics alike have grown to love.

Vocalist Jamie Stewart continues to push himself vocally, spewing forth his grim lyrics with more force and violence than ever before. Guitarists Peter Joseph and Patrick Pintavalle deliver blistering solos, harmony-filled leads, and a level of technicality that is off the charts, growing as musicians with every album they deliver. Original drummer, and one of the founding members of THE ABSENCE, Jeramie Kling is back behind the kit and will be joining the band on the road as they tour in support of Enemy Unbound. Jeramie will undoubtedly continue where he left off, acting as the tight backbone needed to hold together the band's speedy melodic onslaught. With their latest offering, Enemy Unbound, THE ABSENCE deliver a stylish and flavored melodic death/thrash metal album that is sure to please both fans and critics alike.

The Absence is:
Jamie Stewart – vocals
Peter Joseph – guitar
Patrick Pintavalle – guitar
Jeramie Kling – drums
Mike Leon – bass

Negligence
by: Bjarte - Saturday 04 September 2010 - 10:35:14
Slovenian Thrash Kings NEGLIGENCE have launched a landing page that includes pre-order deals for the new album Coordinates Of Confusion and that is featuring a brand new song.

Surf over to http://www.metalblade.com/negligence/ and listen to 'Mind Decay', the first single taken off the new album Coordinates Of Confusion!

On the same site you can watch the official video clip for 'Warmachine', taken off the bands debut album Options Off A Trapped Mind.

Coordinates Of Confusion has been mixed by Ruzz (drums) in their own Negligence studio in late spring of 2010 and was mastered at West West Side Music in New York by Alan Douches.

Comments NEGLIGENCE: "We really feel that what we've done on this record, is a big step forward for us. We took a different approach in writing the songs, since we wrote them altogether. This resulted in a more mature and heavier album opposed to our first album 'Options of a trapped mind'. That being said, we've still remained loyal to our own sound, our own thing so we're really just can't wait for our fans to get hold of the new album and hear for themselves."

Coordinates Of Confusion track listing
1. Mind Decay
2. Screaming Fear
3. Addicted To Aggression
4. Disharmony
5. The Way To…
6. Insane Asylum
7. The Q Box
8. Sickened
9. Shark Attack
10. Coordinates Of Confusion

Coordinates Of Confusion will be released the 8th/11th of October 2010 via Metal Blade Records in Europe!

Toronto’s thrash band MASTERY is no longer an instrumental act, as the band has officially announced the addition of metal legend Billy Milano (S.O.D/ M.O.D.) as the group’s new frontman. A new bass player has also been introduced, Tim “Tank” Casterline (M.O.D. touring bassist) joins MASTERY as a much needed aspect of growth to their music. The band is still looking to fill the position of lead guitar, anyone interested can contact the band through their MySpace page: www.myspace.com/masterymetal

MASTERY has entered Studio 57 in Austin, Texas with producer/engineer Tim Gerron and begun recording their debut album which should see the light of day in early 2011. The band is currently streaming a new song online at www.myspace.com/masterymetal.

Raunchy
by: Bjarte - Wednesday 01 September 2010 - 16:46:29
RAUNCHY have uploaded an album teaser for their upcoming new album “A Discord Electric”. You can find the teaser at the band’s MySpace site.

A short comment from the band:
“This is by far the most experimental, the most challenging, and the most interesting album we have come up with since the beginning of the band. My personal take on this endeavor is quite simple actually: This album will be on the hot list when it comes out! Every member of the band has had the freedom to take things to the limits, above and beyond, and believe me, boundaries are transparent this time around, we’re going totally apeshit, and you’re definitely in for some big surprises with some cool guest performances by our friends in DUNÉ on the song “Big Truth” among other exciting things”, says vocalist Kasper Thomsen.
